I read Ruth Carr's I Felt Like A Fight, Alright? on a long haul flight to Europe.
I read it in between watching the type of trashy movies you only ever watch on flights and never admit to watching.
Luckily, IFLAFA was the perfect cure for trash. It's funny, inspiring, insightful, honest, beautifully designed and beautifully written.
Apart from being a great collection of poems and lyrics, it's an important piece of NZ music memorabilia. I'm so pleased Ruth has released this book and you should all buy it.
