Shapeshifter To Headline Sacred Hill Summer Festival

13.1.11
[press release]

Shapeshifter presents the first ever SACRED HILL Summer Festival with Shapeshifter, Kora, The Black Seeds, Ladi6, DowntownBrown and more!

Shapeshifter is one of the most in demand live acts of the New Zealand summer, selling out venues up and down the country. And now the boys in Shapeshifter are getting together some good mates to throw the biggest party of the summer.

On Saturday 19 February 2011, the inaugural Sacred Hill will see Shapeshifter, Kora, The Black Seeds, Ladi6 and more descend on Sacred Hill Winery's Rifleman's Vineyard, a stunning site which looks over the white cliffs of the Tutaekuri River in Hawkes Bay. This choice selection of Aotearoa's live heavy hitters is part of what will be an annual event - curated and headlined by the boys in Shapeshifter themselves.

As only the third ever Shapeshifter performance in the Hawkes Bay, it's a special one for Shapeshifter member, PDigsss, a Flaxmere-born native son. PDigsss is hyped to bring the Shapeshifter sound to his old stomping grounds, saying "In the words of Sam Cooke, it's been a long time coming. Shapeshifter in the Hawkes Bay summer with fine wine and friends - see you in the sun!"

Sacred Hill is no ordinary vineyard festival - this is a near perfect selection of Aotearoa's top future soul, funk and reggae musicians joining forces under the sun for a day of big tunes and award winning Sacred Hill wines.

There ain't no party like a New Zealand party in the summer time and Sacred Hill is set to be the biggest of the lot.

This inevitably stunning event is scheduled for Saturday 19 February 2011 at Rifleman's Vineyard at Sacred Hill, Hawkes Bay.

Presales will be available from Ticketmaster on Tuesday 18 January at 9am - sign up at www.sacredhillfestival.co.nz for the presale password and info!

General public sales will be available from Ticketmaster, Music Machine Napier & Kingdom Music Works Hastings on Thursday 20 January at 9am.
